Freelancing & IT training workshops

The Faculties of Engineering, Computer Engineering and Information Technology at Palestine Polytechnic University finished three training workshops in the fields of: freelancing skills, softs skills for freelancing, and IT skills, as part of the Erasmus + REACH project supported by the European Union. These trainings are part of the faculties activities directed to their students and graduates to improve the level of their skills and capabilities for cross border jobs.
50 trainees, students and graduates from various disciplines including mechatronics engineering, automotive engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration engineering and computer engineering, participated in the training programs. The trainers are known with experience and distinction in these fields and received intensive training at Middlesex University in London and Università degli. Studi di Milano in Rome.
The training fields included several important topics: In the field of information technology, the training focused on topics related to cybersecurity, information and mobile application design technology. This training was characterized by practical application. Then, the participants were trained in problem-solving, creative thinking, critical thinking and its skills, decision-making, and communication skills, through interactive activities. freelancing concluded the training, where the students were introduced to freelancing platforms, ways to participate, how to create an account and a successful profile, search for jobs and types of projects, how to make a proposal to win projects, how to calculate the pricing for the working hour, in addition to exploring the projects that the participants can apply for in their various fields of study
